Industry Awards

The AJSA is dedicated to providing its members with every opportunity to succeed. In doing so we would like to make all members aware of the various industry awards offered to agriculturally minded youth all around the country. Below is a list of scholarships eligible to incoming and current college students. For a more in depth list of Ag scholarships read through the FFA scholarship guidebook. There you will find available scholarships sponsored by several agribusinesses for FFA members and non-members alike.   MONSANTO COMMITMENT TO AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP Established: 1999 Amount: $1,500 Number of scholarships available: 100 How to apply: Submit online application at http://scholarships.ffa.org, along with signature page. Deadline: TBA Eligibility: Must be a high school senior from a farm family with above-average academic record, and plan to enroll as a full-time student in an agriculture-related academic major at an accredited school. FFA membership is not required to be eligible for the scholarship program.   MONSANTO ROADRUNNER SCHOLARSHIP Established: In 2006 and supported by employees who raise money for the FFA by running half and full marathons. Amount: $1,500 Number of scholarships available: minimum of 5 How to apply: Submit online application at http://scholarships.ffa.org/, along with signature page. Deadline: TBA Eligibility: Must be a high school senior from a farm family with above-average academic record, and plan to enroll as a full-time student in an agriculture-related academic major at an accredited school.   DEKALB AG YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP Established: New in 2007 and supported through the DEKALB WingWear apparel line. Amount: $2,500 Number of scholarships available: 10 How to apply: Submit online at www.dekalbwingwear.com or http://scholarships.ffa.org, along with signature page. Deadline: TBA Eligibility: Available to both high school and collegiate students who are pursuing agricultural-related degrees and demonstrate strong leadership skills and community involvement. FFA membership is not required to be eligible for the scholarship program.
