Internships while at K-State included time with the Superior Lamb Corp. located in Denver CO. Specifically his time was spent working in the marketing and procurement departments. While employed with Superior Lamb, Nathan helped develop facility improvements in conjunction with Grandin Handling Systems. Nathan returned home after graduation from K-State in 2013 to help manage the family farm. Nathan and his older brother jointly run approximately 100 head of commercial cows using Simmental genetics.Nathan Smith was born and raised on a mixed livestock farm in south central Kansas near Pratt. Nathan was active in 4-H and enjoyed working outdoors and on the family farm throughout high school. This love for agriculture drove Nathan to attend Kansas State University majoring in Animal Science with emphasis in production management. While at K-State, Nathan served on the College of Agriculture Student Council and was very active in the Block and Bridle program.
