All registered Simmental dams must be enrolled in the same option, whether that be A, B or C. Dams of other breeds or commercial dams can be enrolled in any of the options regardless of how the registered Simmental dams are enrolled.
If the dam is managed within your herd she should be enrolled. If you do not own the recipient dams then do not enroll them.
Once a dam is enrolled she is enrolled for the entire year, even if you sell her you still pay the entire enrollment fee. The only time you are able to remove dams from inventory is during enrollment for the upcoming season. Spring calving members update their inventories from October 15 - December 15 and Fall calving members from April 15 - June 15.
Each dam listed on your inventory either needs to have a calf reported for the given year or a productivity code. In your calf data spreadsheet under the BrthDam tab in the column that says productivity, you would choose the appropriate code explaining why she did not have a calf for that year and in the next column you would fill in the year you are reporting this code for.
No. Each year you complete an updated dam inventory and choose the option you are enrolling in for the upcoming year, whether that be A, B or C.
