The purpose of the trip was to learn about the utilization of Simmental and Simbrah (called Simbrasil in Brazil) genetics in the state of Bahia, a state that American Simmental Association has not visited in the past. We attended the Fenagro (Agricultural Fair) in Salvador, Bahia that is the equivalent of a state fair in the U.S.

The purpose of this activity was to promote the use of Simmental and Simbrah genetics in Colombia. This was accomplished by attending the 2009 AGRO- EXPO in Bogotá, speaking at a field day in Cali and visiting key contacts in Medellin, Colombia.
