ASA Welcomes Marcia Jedry as Director of Finance & Operations

The American Simmental Association (ASA) is pleased to welcome Marcia Jedry as Director of Finance & Operations. Marcia brings extensive leadership experience in association management, finance, operations, marketing, communications, and nonprofit leadership. Her career has included executive leadership roles with organizations across Idaho, providing her with a diverse background in organizational management and a strong understanding of the relationships and partnerships that drive successful associations.

Marcia most recently served as Executive Director of the Wyakin Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on helping transitioning military veterans successfully move into civilian careers. Previously, she served as Executive Director of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) Idaho and as Director of Finance, Operations & Marketing for Idaho Association of Commerce and Industries (IACI). During her time with IACI, Jedry gained valuable insight into Idaho’s business and agriculture industries and the significant role agriculture plays in the state’s economy.

Her connection to agriculture became particularly strong during her time as Executive Director of Idaho FFA. Combined with her family’s farming background, the experience strengthened a lifelong appreciation for agriculture and the people who make the industry successful. Marcia was honored with the Honorary State FFA Degree for outstanding service and support to the Idaho FFA Association and agricultural education in Idaho. Through her work with Idaho FFA, Idaho businesses, and agriculture-related organizations, she developed a deep connection to the Idaho agricultural community.

Marcia graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor of science in business administration, with a concentration in finance. Throughout her career, she has combined her financial background with leadership, strategic planning, marketing, relationship development, and organizational operations.

“I am excited to return to the agriculture industry and to have the opportunity to support an organization and an industry I care deeply about,” Marcia said. “Agriculture has been woven throughout many chapters of my career, and I am especially excited to bring my leadership and business experience to ASA and to support the producers who are helping move the beef industry forward.”

Marcia and her family reside in Star, Idaho. Outside of work, she enjoys boating, fishing, exploring the mountains, riding side-by-sides, and spending time with family.
